Kierland Golf Club located in Scottsdale, AZ is excited to announce the exceptional career opportunity of 2nd Assistant Superintendent. Qualified candidates will thrive in a hospitality environment and be highly focused on providing superior service for our guests.
- Reads, understands and keeps current up-to-date safety data sheets (SDS).
- Maintains chemical storage and mixing areas in compliance with governmental regulations.
- Responsible for ensuring the safety and direction of chemical/fertilizer handlers and/ or helpers.
- Keeps up-to-date in knowledge of chemicals/fertilizers that are being applied.
- Ensures proper calibration of all spraying/fertilizing equipment.
- Inspects golf course daily and notifies superintendent of issues/concerns
- Assist in the management of hourly staff.
- 2 or 4 year degree/certificate in Turfgrass Management or similar with previous golf course maintenance experience
- Ability to obtain and hold a State of Arizona Office of Pest Management Applicator License within 60 days.
- Must possess a strong work ethic and be highly motivated to advance in golf course management.
