Position: Foster Parent Recruiter/Trainer

KidsPeace invites you to join our mission-driven team of professionals who provide hope, help, and healing to children in our Foster Care setting, and the family members, who love them.

Description of Responsibilities:

• Promote the visibility of KidsPeace programs to local communities through public speaking opportunities and marketing efforts
• Facilitate trainings for existing and incoming foster parents
• Facilitate initial training program for applicants to move toward foster parent certification
• Screen all foster parent applicants to determine if they (applicant, their family, their home) meets State and KidsPeace requirements
• Skills necessary for this position:
• Strong writing skills
• Ability to work independently and show initiative
• Comfort with presenting information/training to small groups
• Proficient in information gathering for comprehensive assessments
• Strong organization and time management skills

·Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a human service field or 3 years of experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior home finding experience prioritized
• Experience with NYS Connections system prioritized
• Foster Care experience preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $41,200.00 per year
