Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Scheduler to join our pediatric therapy clinic. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a medical office setting with a constantly changing staff schedule. Must be great at organizing and shifting schedules around for same day cancelations and appointment changes. It's hectic but fun at the same time. Will also answer the phone and speak with families that have children with special needs. So must be pleasant, polite and compassionate for others.

Responsibilities:
- Schedule patient appointments efficiently using our electronic scheduling system
- Coordinate with therapist and insurance authorization dept. to ensure proper scheduling of procedures and appointments
- Answer and manage incoming calls related to appointment scheduling
- Verify patient insurance coverage and demographic information
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
- Assist with medical records management and documentation
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and visitors

Experience:
- Previous experience in a medical office setting is preferred
- Familiarity with phone systems and handling medium volumes
- Experience with medical scheduling software is a plus
