Kids First is Hiring a Nevada Ready Preschool Co-Teacher Near Las Vegas, NV

Kids First! is seeking a dedicated and experienced NV Ready Co-Teacher to join our team. As a Nevada Ready Co-Teacher, you will be responsible for assisting with maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly physical environment, supervises classroom activities, and participates in parent education and involvement.

The Nevada Ready Co-Teacher helps to oversee the care and development of up to fifteen (15) children aged 3-5 years (including those with special needs) for our Nevada Ready Program under the general supervision of the center director.

Title: Nevada Ready Pre-K/Preschool Co-Teacher

Hours: 9:30am - 6:30pm

Requirements:

  • CDA or AA in Early Childhood Education or willing to participate in T.E.A.C.H program to complete of obtain
  • 2 years experience in a childcare setting
  • Bilingual in Spanish/English preferred.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to create a nurturing and positive learning environment.
  • Positive and objective attitude towards others with a willingness to engage and support as needed.
  • Regulatory compliance with Nevada Ready Pre-K United Way, SNHD, Training Partners, and Nevada State Licensing is required, and the Pre-K/Preschool Teacher may be assigned to different classrooms/centers and tasks as needed to achieve program goals.

Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Possesses or can learn and have a thorough understanding of Nevada Ready! Pre-K, Pre-K project, Nevada Preschool, and its scope of work, licensing regulations, additional state requirements, and the center's policies and procedures.
  • Weekly preparation of daily lesson plans, posted curriculum, and posting of objectives for parents, and visitors in the classroom.
  • Development of an individualized plan for each child based on screening, assessment, parent input, and observation. The plan will include objectives and activities to meet established goals (outcomes).
  • Scheduling, conducting, and parent-teacher conferences as required and when necessary.
  • Creates and maintains a healthy and safe learning environment that is culturally sensitive and developmentally appropriate.
  • Promoting the center's mission, vision, standards, and philosophy with families, program partners, and the community

Pay: $36,000.00 - $39,000.00 per hour
