We are seeking a skilled and professional Medical Receptionist to join our team. As a Medical Receptionist, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient service and ensuring the smooth operation of our pediatric office. Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments
- Verify patient insurance information and collect necessary documentation
- Assist with patient registration and check-in process
- Maintain patient records and update information as necessary
- Coordinate with providers and clinical staff to ensure efficient patient flow
- Handle patient inquiries and provide accurate information regarding services, fees, and insurance coverage
- Process payments and manage billing inquiries
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area
Skills:
- Previous experience working in a pediatric office or medical receptionist role is required
- Proficient in using medical office systems such as Office Practicum, Allscripts, or eClinicalWorks
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Knowledge of phone systems and ability to handle high call volumes
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information
