Kids Above All is Hiring a Case Aide Near Chicago, IL

Kids Above All is seeking a full-time Case Aide located in our Chicago-South Cottage Grove office. This is a in-office position, and must be able to come in.
Job Summary: The Case Aide will provide para-professional support services and assistance to children and families in the foster care programs.
Essential Functions :
  • Provide transportation for Team clients (children and birth families) to and from various appointments, i.e. family visits, medical appointments, court, staffing, school, etc
  • Communicate with foster and/or biological parents, teachers, social workers and others to be able to work together for what is best for the child and family
  • Supervise uncomplicated family visits, and/or assist in the supervision of complex visits
  • Supervise children as appropriate, and as requested by Team
  • Provide written documentation and complete required data entry of all client contact and service coordination
  • Perform light clerical work as required and data entry as required
  • Under supervision of appropriate professional, provide parenting skills training during parent-child visits and/or other interactions
  • May provide other rehabilitative services, as qualified and as required
  • Other duties as assigned to achieve the mission of the Department and the Agency.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum high school diploma or GED; Associate degree preferred
  • Must be sensitive to the needs of children and their families
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality, and have good oral and written communication skills
  • Experience working in team environment a plus
  • Must meet Agency and DCFS driver approval standards, and have a vehicle that meets legal standards for insurance, maintenance and drivability
  • Flexibility and willingness to work evening and/or weekend hours required
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Word required
  • Must have a valid driver license.
  • Must have an insured automobile.
Must be able to work 11am-7pm and have to be available to work one weekend a month.
Salary Range for Associates degree: $19.50-$20.50/hr.
Salay Range for High School Diploma: $17.50-$19.50/hr.
