Children’s Fitness/Sports Coach

IMMEDIATE OPENING - Kidokinetics - PART-TIME Sports Fitness Coach for Children / Physical Education Teacher for Preschool

Kidokinetics is a mobile sports program. We introduce sports to kids in a FUN and non-competitive way teaching children the fundamentals of ALL sports for children 2 to 12 years old. Programs are conducted at schools, daycares, parks or community centers. The coach is responsible for implementing the Kidokinetics curriculum, ensuring each child has a positive and successful Kidokinetics experience. They are also responsible for the wellbeing of each student who attends a Kidokinetics class. The coach assumes the role of coach, friend, guide, disciplinarian, and mentor. Ultimately it is the coach’s responsibility to carry out the mission of Kidokinetics: helping children enhance coordination, concentration, and fine/gross motor skills in a fun and non-competitive environment.

Mobility is required to drive to the different locations. Looking for a coach/manager to serve in the Charlotte area.

• Weekly hours, approx. 8-10 hr/week
• Working hours typically fall within 9am - 5:30pm window, based on class schedule
• MUST have previous experience working with children in a group setting
• MUST be able to pass a background check
• Preferable having a sports related background
• Will be leading sports/fitness classes for children 2- 12 years old
• Enthusiastic and Outgoing Personality
• MUST have Reliable means of transportation – we are mobile program
• Strong interpersonal skills to deal with children, directors and parents

Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with children who will be able to manage a group of 10 pre-school age children in 30-45 minute sessions.

Additional requirements: High school diploma, valid driver’s license. Must pass a level 2 background check to be considered for employment. Must be physically able to lift approximately 20 pounds and demonstrate/lead a youth physical fitness program. You will be required to move sports equipment from car to storage unit or school.

Starting pay rate is $20/hour.

Benefits: Flexible schedule

Schedule: 1-2 hour shifts, 1 or 2 shifts per day
