Kidokinetics is a mobile sports program. We introduce over 20 different sports to kids in a FUN and non-competitive way, teaching the fundamentals of ALL sports for children 18 months to 12 years old.

Programs are conducted at daycare centers, preschools, private schools, parks and private residences. Coaches will be assigned a set schedule of sites that would be consistent on a weekly basis. Our programs are offered Monday-Friday during school hours, mainly in the mornings. There are also occasional afternoon shifts/ classes, and other available hours if you are wanting more. This position has an opportunity to be given more hours over time if you are interested, as we are starting to work with more and more schools.

This position requires PREVIOUS experience working with children, a High school diploma, and a valid driver’s license. Applicants must pass a level 2 background check to be considered for employment. We are looking for responsible, reliable, outgoing people to join our team. Having a reliable car is a MUST as we are a mobile program.

The territory in which your assigned schools reside are anywhere from the surrounding areas of Morristown, NJ to the surrounding area of Newark, NJ. All Applicants must live in or close to the territory listed above.

***You will be compensated for your drive time. You will be compensated bi-weekly and receive paid training provided prior to teaching on your own. If you shadow a class with us, you will be compensated for your shadow time if you are given the position and hired.

Job Types available: Part time (10-20 hours weekly) APPLICANT MUST HAVE THE ABILITY TO WORK AT SCHOOLS IN THE FOLLOWING TOWNS AT THE FOLLOWING TIMES. You will be reimbursed for your drive time.

Tuesday: Randolph from 9:15-11:30am and Chatham from 2:30-3:30pm

Wednesday: Westfield from 9:45-11am and Short Hills from 3:15-4:45pm

Thursday: Florham Park from 10-11:30am and Chatham from 2:30-3:30pm

Friday: Maplewood from 9:45-11:30am

(additional hours might be available if requested or during our summer season starting in June)

Paid Internship Available for majors listed: Exercise Science, Early Childhood Education, Athletic Training, Sports Management, etc. (If you feel like this position would benefit your major, please let us know you are interested! We are open to offering this position as a paid internship for any program relating to children, sports, nutrition, etc.).

Day-to-Day:

• Prepares events, activities, lessons, games, and classes in accordance with the guidelines of Kidokinetics (You will also receive lesson plans to build off of).
• Abides by the safety guidelines of Kidokinetics at all times
• Conducts classes in an enthusiastic, nurturing manner
• Arrives to each class on time and prepared with the appropriate lesson plans, equipment, supplies and other materials
• Makes every effort to connect one-on-one with each child
• Addresses concerns or special needs for children and caregivers
• Is a good role model for young children physically, emotionally, and socially
• Works as part of a team
• Provides an environment of acceptance that supports and respects cultural differences
• Helps to create sport schedule
• Participates in schools visits and business development

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

• Are you comfortable and willing to be high energy, fun, and exciting the entire class time? Do you have an outgoing personality? This is an important quality to possess when working with kids.
• Do you have experience working with children 18 months- 2 years of age?
• In this position, you will be traveling to different schools within a large territory. Are you comfortable driving anywhere from 5 minutes- 45 minutes to the different schools/ centers? (You will receive complete compensation for your driving, this will be discussed further if given an interview).
• In this position, you will be teaching sport classes for children 1-6 years of age. Are you comfortable with all of these age groups?
• Are you able to work at schools in following locations at the following times?
