Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Responsible for the planning of the nutritional program for lunches and implementing the program efficiently
• Preparing the foods and being sure that there is the appropriate food for the ages and diets of each child
• Making sure that the kitchen is maintained in a hygienic, safe, and presentable condition
• The cook will be expected to help in the classrooms from time to time and assist in covering lunches for the teachers
• Reviewing the food program periodically with the owner and director and making any necessary changes
• Providing assistance to the teachers for food and cooking experiences they may wish to plan for their classrooms
• Washing the dishes, cups, pots, and pans and making sure the kitchen is as clean as possible daily
• Emptying the kitchen trash can whenever needed
• Disinfecting the floors and countertops throughout the day
• Unloading and putting away food from shipments when they arrive

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
