Position Overview:

As the Center Director at Kiddie Academy of Tehaleh, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the success and excellence of our early childhood education program. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our program, with a focus on:

• Human Resource Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of dedicated educators and staff members to ensure a positive and supportive work environment.
• Program Planning, Implementation, and Evaluation: Implement the Life Essentials curriculum of Kiddie Academy that focuses on the development of the 6 outcomes that prepare the children for life: Character, Confidence, Curiosity, Connection, Critical Thinking, and Creative Expression. Regularly assess and evaluate the effectiveness of the program to ensure continuous improvement.
• Student Assessments: Implement assessment strategies to monitor children's progress and development, providing feedback and support to ensure each child reaches their full potential.
• Family Relations: Foster positive and collaborative relationships with parents and families, providing support, communication, and guidance to address their needs and concerns.
• Marketing and Enrollments: Develop and execute marketing strategies to promote the academy and attract new families. Manage the enrollment process to ensure optimal capacity utilization and a diverse student population.
• Academy Operations: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the academy, including budget management, facility maintenance, safety protocols, and compliance with licensing regulations and company policies.

Position Requirements:

• Minimum two (2) years of full-time experience in managing large center-based programs in Center Director role.
• Candidates should have all credentials required for the position of a Center Director per WAC or be willing to get them shortly after joining.
• Ensuring academy compliance with all federal and state laws and Kiddie Academy policies.
• At least an AA degree in childcare or management, or a related field.
• Planning and participating in academy activities, staff meetings, training sessions, and open houses.
• Developing positive communication with parents and addressing their concerns professionally.
• Recruiting, selecting, and training qualified employees.
• Maintaining high-capacity utilization and managing resources effectively within budget.

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or child development.
• Minimum 2 years of Director experience in a licensed childcare center.
• Familiarity with WA state licensing regulations, staffing, enrollment, and budget management.
