Job Description

A Preschool Curriculum Specialist is a critical member of a school's educational team. The specialist is responsible for overseeing and implementing an age-appropriate curriculum that meets the needs of all preschoolers. This role requires a deep understanding of child development, learning theories and best practices in early childhood education.

The specialist must also have the ability to collaborate with teachers and administrators to ensure that the curriculum is effective and meets the needs of all students. As a result, students are able to acquire the skills necessary for success in their later years of schooling. the specialist also plays an important role in creating a safe and stimulating learning environment for all children.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Evaluate Student Progress: Monitor student progress and provide meaningful feedback to teachers and administrators.
  2. Facilitate Professional Development: Lead professional development workshops for teachers and other staff members to ensure they are familiar with best practices in early childhood education.
  3. Oversee and Manage Assessment Plans: Develop assessment plans to measure student outcomes, analyze data, and provide feedback to teachers and administrators.
  4. Develop Parent/Guardian Outreach Programs: Develop programs to engage parents and guardians in their child's education and ensure their involvement in the classroom.
  5. Research Child Development Trends: Research current trends in early childhood education to ensure up-to-date approaches in conjunction with our Life Essentials curriculum.
  6. Collaborate With Other Professionals: Work together with other professionals such as school psychologists, therapists, and community members to create a comprehensive program for students.
