Kiddie Academy Oakland is Hiring a Floater Teacher Near Winter, FL

Kiddie Academy of Oakland has an exciting opportunity for an energetic, optimistic and inspiring educator to join us as a Floater teacher. You’ll bring a creative touch and caring attitude to our passionate team of childcare professionals who make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families in our community every day. If you’re motivated by smiles and hugs from children and praise from parents, this could be the job for you.

Requirements:

  • Passion and love to work with children
  • Able to build professional relationship with co-workers and Staff
  • DCF 45 hours or be able to take the training within 30 days of employment
  • First Aid & CPR certification (Preferred)
  • Eligible Background Screening

Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring safety is a priority in the classroom and on the playground
  • Model appropriate behavior in the classroom
  • Assist lead teacher with lesson planning and instruction to the class.
  • Coordinate lesson plans from curriculum and show evidence of learning throughout the day

Track student activities, meals, potting, and notes on our daily reporting software through classroom Ipad.
Serve meals according to the nutritionally recommended serving size and create a pleasant dining atmosphere
Communicate and form relationships with families to gain understanding of student needs
Encourage positive behavior with understanding, flexibility, and conscious discipline
Maintain a clean and replenished classroom
Keep classroom in DCF and accreditation compliance

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.45 - $14.01 per hour
