Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced camp administrator to oversee our camp operations. The Camp Manager will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the camp, managing staff, and providing a safe and enjoyable experience for all campers.
Duties:
- Develop and implement camp programs and activities that align with the camp's mission and goals
- Manage day-to-day operations of the camp, including scheduling, staff supervision, and camper registration
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations
- Provide leadership and guidance to camp staff, including training and professional development opportunities
- Foster a positive and inclusive camp environment that promotes teamwork, respect, and personal growth
- Oversee camper behavior management and enforce camp policies
- Collaborate with parents/guardians to address any concerns or issues that may arise
- Maintain accurate records of camper attendance, incident reports, and program evaluations
- Coordinate supply orders to maintain stock of necessary materials for camp each week
Skills:
- Strong behavior management skills to ensure a safe and positive environment for all campers
- Excellent classroom management abilities to engage and motivate campers during activities
- Experience working with special education students or individuals with diverse needs is helpful
- Previous experience in babysitting, childcare, theater, tutoring, or sports coaching is preferred
- First aid certification is required to respond effectively to any medical emergencies
