Job Summary
We are seeking a Dental Front Desk/Treatment Planner to join our team! As a Front Desk/Treatment Planner, you will be responsible for greeting patients who come in the door, checking them in, and pulling relevant patient files or obtaining new patient information. You will also answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate place, mail or fax documentation to the appropriate offices, and maintain excellent medical and correspondence records, as appropriate. The ideal candidate is very organized, has strong customer service and interpersonal skills, and works well independently and within a team.

Responsibilities
  • Greet patients who walk through the door
  • Ascertain their needs and get them checked in
  • Serve as a concierge throughout the patient's dental experience
  • Answer the phone and schedule appointments or answer patient questions
  • Maintain comprehensive dental records, as needed
  • Present pending dental treatment with financial details for patients
Qualifications
  • Strong customer service and organizational skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-starter with ability to accept direction, yet work independently
  • Familiarity with basic computer programs, such as the Microsoft Office suite
  • Relevant dental experience working in revenue cycle and billing
  • Experience with PPO insurance
  • Understanding and comfortable with presenting financial options
  • Experienced in dental terminology and confident with current dental billing and coding guidelines
  • Understanding and scheduling appointments utilizing ideal scheduling for the practice
