Position Title: Community Outreach Coordinator

Organization Overview:

The Khalsa Community Center is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving the Punjabi-Sikh community in the Fresno area. Our mission is to provide culturally connected and mentally sound support to community members.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and passionate Community Outreach Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing outreach strategies to engage with the community and promote the mission and programs of the Khalsa Community Center.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement outreach strategies to engage with the community and increase awareness of the Khalsa Community Center's mission and programs.

- Build and maintain relationships with community leaders, organizations, and stakeholders.

- Organize and attend community events, meetings, and gatherings to promote the Khalsa Community Center and its programs.

- Collaborate with internal teams to develop outreach materials, including flyers, brochures, and social media content.

- Track and report on outreach activities and outcomes.

- Provide support to community members seeking assistance or information about the Khalsa Community Center.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, marketing, social work, sociology, public health, business, anthropology, public administration, psychology, or a related field

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Strong organizational and time management skills.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and social media platforms.

Mission Alignment:

This position plays a key role in advancing the mission and goals of the Khalsa Community Center by engaging with the community and raising awareness of its programs and initiatives. The Khalsa Community Center's main goal is to serve the Punjabi-Sikh community of the Fresno area to be culturally connected and have mental health care access.

Impact:

The Community Outreach Coordinator will have a direct impact on the community by increasing awareness of the Khalsa Community Center's programs and services, ultimately helping to improve the lives of those we serve.

Schedule:

This is a full-time, salaried position.
