Responsibilities

SUMMARY:

The wide variety of tasks a Program Manager may fulfill include, but are not limited to, PO Life Cycle, Point-of-Sell process, working with Product Managers and suppliers, program development; project management, collaborating with cross functional teams along with external partners. Will help to develop and maintain processes as needed for programs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage PO Life Cycle for strategic accounts and other key accounts as assigned ensuring POs are processed accurately and flow from suppliers to our Distribution Centers/Customers.
  • As part of the PO Life Cycle, the Program Manager works closely with Product Managers and Suppliers to ensure Promise Dates, Shipments, Tracking, and Deliveries are accurate and timely.
  • Manage PO escalations daily utilizing reports to assist Sales ensuring strategic customer SO’s are filled timely, and Promise Dates are communicated effectively.
  • Involved in cross-functional internal and external teams from all functional areas primarily interfacing with Product Management, Procurement and Inventory Management, Information Technologies, Pricing Group, and Sales.
  • Assist leading teams on projects and programs as needed.
  • Develop, Train, and Maintain processes for programs that are managed by the team.
  • Communicate and escalate issues impeding progress for programs. Be involved in the resolution of issues using negotiating and problem-solving skills.
  • Ensure quality of execution of assigned projects and programs. Time Management skills are imperative in these tasks because of urgency and time-bound requirements.
  • Run reports, analyze the data, and utilize various software for programs and projects.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, and/or QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Associates Degree or Bachelor’s Degree (Experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • 2 years of experience managing projects, programs, and/or procurement is required.
  • Customer service experience with strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills (oral & written)
  • Ability to communicate across multiple groups to both internal and external customers as well as with all levels within the organization.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Effective time management
  • Multi-tasking abilities with attention to detail

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; ability to write simple correspondence; ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the Company.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

  • Ability to add and subtract 10-digit numbers, to multiply and divide with tens and hundreds; ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance.

REASONING ABILITY:

  • No major critical thinking required. Work follows established job aids and business rules. Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form; ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
