KG Manufacturing LLC is Hiring a Designer/Project Manager Near Redmond, OR

Local Metal Fabrication company is seeking an individual to provide Design/Project Manager capabilities to our growing Fabrication shop. We design, fabricate, weld and do installs. We are looking for someone who can be a team player and leader with the administrative processes required to sustain our growth. Candidates need not only possess the hard skills outlined below, but also have an outgoing personality and ability to represent us well over the phone, in person, and at the job site. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are key to success in this fast-paced and growing environment. This position is not eligible for remote work.

ROLES:

  • Creating and or altering of provided sketches.
  • Ongoing drawing collaboration with project managers/design consultants/customers.
  • Management and organization of all drawings.
  • Printing of correct Solidworks drawings in various formats and packages, delivered to correct contact in a timely manner so they are able to perform their job correctly.
  • Execution of detailed shop drawings required for manufacturing and erection/assembly.
  • Work order scheduling.
  • Other responsibilities as determined by business needs

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Creating accurate Solidworks drawings from hand sketches, verbal instructions, and site visits.
  • Seamlessly integrating and working with project managers design consultants, and sub-contractors, to produce and alter drawings.
  • Thinking creatively and critically to support the project team in the design process, to create sketches and drawings that work.
  • Creating and continually updating project drawings lists.
  • Printing various formats of drawing sets for project managers/site superintendents/customers.
  • Systematically saving sketches and drawings on our Solidworks server; keeping the server organized; updating project folders and files as jobs progress and revisions are made.
  • Exhaustively reviewing and checking sketches and drawings for errors, before being sent to architects, subcontractors, project managers, etc.
  • Seeking clarity and understanding from engineers and project managers when you are not 100% certain of something.
  • Create, edit, and update standard details for use in projects.
  • Responsible for execution of detailed shop drawings required for manufacturing and erection/assembly.
  • Responsible for work order scheduling.
  • Product ordering
  • Shop flow managment
  • Meeting schedules

SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills
  • Strong ability to work under pressure and manage stress
  • Strong planning skills
  • Must have high attention to detail and able to pass that information on.
  • Project manager skills
  • Product ordering skills
  • Minimum 4-years’ experience in Solidworks Operator role.
  • Excellent understanding and skill within the Solidworks program.
  • Excellent communication skills; listening, comprehension, and feedback.

  • Strong work ethic.
  • Able to travel and work overtime if necessary.
