Kforce has a client that is seeking a SAFe Principal Software Engineer (Cloud) in Sterling, VA.Essential Functions :

• SAFe Principal Software Engineer will be leading and collaborating within Agile Scrum teams as an Agile Release Train (ART) lead responsible for developing advanced, leading-edge, cloud-oriented automation and orchestration architectures that provide rigorous, self-validating cybersecurity capabilities to a major Government customer
• Leading and facilitating program & team-related Agile events (PI Planning, Release Governance, Stand-Ups, Sprint Planning, etc.

• Eliminating impediments and actively addressing issues so that the team can remain focused on achieving the objectives of the Program Increment (PI)
• Escalating as needed when blocking issues are beyond a team's authority or require support from other teams
• Fostering a collaborative team environment through coaching & leading appropriately
• Leading and facilitating preparation & readiness for ART events & assisting teams in preparation for ART activities PI Planning, System Demos, Inspect & Adapt, etc.)
• As a SAFe Principal Software Engineer, you will be collaborating within Agile Scrum teams as a key contributor responsible for the design, test, and implementation of advanced cybersecurity infrastructure capabilities
• Review high quality technical documentation, including user guides, test plans, and contract deliverable items and supporting product training
• Development of risk assessments and risk mitigation countermeasures
• Defining and communicating a shared technical and architectural vision
• Leading Agile Scrum teams in the system design and implementation of advanced, cloud-oriented autonomous cybersecurity capabilities

Requirements

• 10 years of professional experience in a technology related field
• 5 years of direct experience in either complex autonomous package builds, autonomous API driven backends, infrastructure automation and orchestration, event driven micro-service architectures, orchestrated infrastructure automation, or configuration driven deployments
• 2 years of experience in either AWS, MS Azure, or GCP
• Demonstrated experience with Lean-Agile principles, metrics, and technology and / or experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), Lean Thinking, Lean Six Sigma
• Experience communicating with senior leadership, either at Customer, VP, or Director levels
• Proven leadership skills and meaningful experience successfully leading projects
• Ability to shape key stakeholder direction and influence outcomes through the analysis of information and identification of relevant facts
• Independently driven, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role.

We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs.

This range may be modified in the future.

Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
