Job Details

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in San Antonio, TX looking for a QC Analyst.
Responsibilities:
* QC Analyst will collaborate with the development team to understand project requirements and functional specifications
* Design, develop, and execute manual test cases based on project requirements and acceptance criteria
* Perform functional testing, regression testing, integration testing, and system testing to validate software functionality and performance
* Identify, document, and prioritize defects and issues found during testing using defect tracking tools
* Work closely with developers to reproduce and troubleshoot defects, ensuring timely resolution and retesting
* As a QC Analyst, you will participate in requirement analysis, design reviews, and sprint planning meetings to provide input on testability and quality considerations
* Create and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test reports
* Conduct usability testing and accessibility testing to ensure software compliance with user interface design guidelines and accessibility standards
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality-related concerns and ensure alignment with project timelines and deliverables
* Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in software testing and quality assurance
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
* Proven experience working as a manual tester or QA analyst in a software development environment
* Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices
* Hands-on experience with manual testing techniques, test case design, and execution
* Familiarity with defect tracking tools such as Jira, Bugzilla, or HP ALM
* Ability to analyze requirements and translate them into comprehensive test cases and test scenarios
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify and isolate software defects
* Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate test results and findings clearly and concisely
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic team environment with tight deadlines and shifting priorities
* Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment is a plus
* Knowledge of automation testing tools and scripting languages (e.g., Selenium, Python, Java) is desirable but not required
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
