RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce is looking for a Linux Administrator for a short-term contract opportunity in Leawood, KS.
Responsibilities:
* Install, configure, and maintain Red Hat & Oracle Enterprise Linux 7 & 8 servers running in a 24x7 production environment
* Basic Linux administration (user account management, disk management, NFS, performance tuning & troubleshooting, proactive monitoring)
REQUIREMENTS:
* Experience with Red Hat & Oracle Enterprise Linux 7 & 8
* Experience basic Linux administration (user account management, disk management, NFS, performance tuning & troubleshooting, proactive monitoring)
* Experience with basic shell scripts (Bash, vi, etc.)
* Experience with Microsoft applications (Excel, Visio, Word)
* Experince with package repositories (YUM/DNF)
* Flexibility to participate in occasional on-call production support
* Ability to read/write basic shell scripts
* Comfortable using Microsoft applications to assist with daily documentation (Excel, Visio, Word)
* Experience with maintaining/using package repositories and managing RHEL patch management (YUM/DNF)
Preferred:
* Experience with Ansible and system automation tools
* Experience with Oracle RAC, Oracle ASM, and grid computing environments
* Experience with Oracle Cloud technologies
* Experience with Linux monitoring tools such as Nagios
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
