RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce's client located in Farmington, CT is looking to bring on a Senior level FinOps Engineer to help guide the strategy and execution of FinOps across the enterprise.
Promote FinOps Culture:
* Advocate for FinOps practices across the business units
* Educate finance and management stakeholders on cloud technology
Cost Visibility and Reporting:
* Identify and recommend cost optimization opportunities
* Conduct cost optimization workshops
Stakeholder Collaboration:
* Build and maintain relationships with internal teams and with business unit partners
* Work closely with cloud vendors
Ownership and Innovation:
* Take ownership of FinOps cost tools (Cloudability)
* Develop capacity reservation policies
* Explore technical solutions to support FinOps
* Advise on cost-effective architectures
Budget Support:
* Assist in budget processes
* Perform deep-dive cost analysis
* Create custom reports
REQUIREMENTS:
* 5 years of experience in Cloud Cost Management, FinOps, or Vendor Client Success Management
* Proficiency with Azure and AWS
* Solid understanding of networking, storage, compute, and application development in the context of cloud computing
* Experience in Cloudability tool
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
