A family located in the Dallas area is seeking a part-time with the potential to transition to a full-time Support Service Professional to provide In-Home and Community Support for their adult son with Autism. The family is seeking an energetic and compassionate Support Staff to provide 2:1 care. The ideal candidate will be outgoing and have experience in working with Non-Verbal Individuals with Autism. The ideal candidate will have experience in positive behavior approaches for redirecting behavior, and experience in supporting nonverbal communicators. Description of Duties:

• Assist with ADL’s as needed
• Ensure health and safety needs are met at home and in the community
• Provide transportation to community events and activities
• Communicate with guardian and surrogate on an ongoing basis
• Complete and document goals as defined in ISP; documentation is completed through the EVV system from the Support Staff’s cell phone

Qualification / Requirements:

• *candidate must meet one of the following: Bachelor’s Degree In Psychology, Education, Special Education, Counseling, Social Work, or Gerontology or Registered Behavior Technician, Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst, or NADD Certification in one of the following: NADD Competency Based Clinical Certification, Dual Diagnosis Certification
• Must have a valid PA driver’s license and reliable transportation
• 2 years of DSP, SSP Preferred
• At least 2 years of experience in working with Individuals with autism Spectrum Disorder
• Willing to Participate in Background Check
• Experience in providing behavior supports
• Be able to work collaboratively with another SSP 2:1
• Must be dependable, and punctual

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $27.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 18 – 32 per week
