This role will be responsible to drive the Technology Vision and innovation for "Embedded Banking and Financing" at KeyBank. It will include delivering APIs and integration solutions for Merchants, Partners, ISVs, PAYFACs, Third Party Payment Processors etc.. This role will focus on Payments API buildout, payments integration infrastructure, high availability solutions, developer portal for the entire payments lifecycle. This is a very critical role as this role will help chart the course for future Commercial Payments tech. roadmap and new methods of integration to drive business growth and customer satisfaction.

The role of Business Technology Senior Manager in Commercial Bank and Payments Technology is responsible for the delivery of technology solutions using: Java/SpringBoot, WebMethods, GKE (onprem and cloud); SQL Server; Exadata; Apigee; Ab Initio, Kafka.

Responsibilities:

  • Resource Management:
  • Direct Reports: ensure team staffed to needs; adjust Squads to workload; employee development, reviews, recognition, etc.
  • Matrixed Resources: work with managers from other teams (Webmethods, Apigee, DSC/Data Warehouse, etc.) to ensure resources are available for workload and within budget. Make adjustments as needed.
  • Oversight/Management/Escalation for 3 Agile Delivery Squads (2 Scrum, 1 Kanban) that deliver monthly (*nearly) releases for the ECA Data Mart and APIs for Embedded Banking and internal integrations.
  • Vendor Management to stay on top of changes or patches that may impact the squads
  • With help from the Project Manager/ScrumMaster, track, monitor and forecast cost and invoice expense. Build and share business cases.
  • Ensure the team follows all PLC, SDLC, Agile policies and procedures.
  • Work with the Business to set strategic roadmap and goals for PIs and sprints.
  • Contribute to and review overall designs
  • Communicate, escalate and help resolve issues
  • Stay engaged with Support Team (attending standups and following chat) to know when high priority issues, audits or remediations may require help from the API Development Teams
  • Stay engaged with Onboarding efforts
  • Attend Agile ceremonies (Standups, Collab, Reviews, Planning, Retros) as much as possible, to keep apprised of team's status, help remove blockers, look for opportunities to improve
  • Ensure the team is adhering to Tech. policies and procedures and aware and engaged on other Techdriven projects (ie, XLR replacement, PR Lite, etc)
  • Review implementation plans and communications for accuracy and thoroughness
  • Manage a technology portfolio of greater complexity and breadth that requires frequent interaction and collaboration across several groups and technologies and generally includes 1 or more critical applications
  • Utilize technology expertise, current industry knowledge and best practices, thought leadership and effective business partnerships to build, advocate for and maintain the technology strategy for one or more lines of business that delivers the business' strategic objectives and aligns to the enterprise's architectural standards. Brings emerging technologies and methodologies into the organization to assess potential and use cases. Demonstrates thought leadership and continuous learning.
  • Manage, develop and ensure the engagement and effective execution of a small to medium size team which may include business analysts, project managers and/or scrum masters, engineers, developers, external resources and vendors against line of business or functional technology deliverables. Emerging as a leader for attracting and developing internal and external talent.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience with Software Development/SDLC or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in API development and client/partner integration is a strong plus
  • Previous experience in managing development teams is a strong plus

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $110,000 to $206,000 annually depending on job-related factors such as level of experience. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for short-term incentive compensation and deferred incentive compensation subject to individual and company performance.
