Dynamic Buffalo company seeks a hands-on Controller! The perfect Candidate thrives in an exciting, fast-paced, deadline driven environment and has excellent problem-solving skills. Must be a self-starter who`s willing to jump in and help out wherever needed.

Accounting:

• Maintain the General Ledger from journal entries to reconciliation
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statement, internal management reports, event revenue reports and bi-weekly sales forecasts
• Oversee all other accounting functions
• Prepare and presents annual budget
• Prepare for and participates in annual review and audit with outside accounting firm
• Prepare various organizational tax filings
• Analyze organization`s cash flow on a daily basis and invest funds when feasible
• Supervises accounting staff

Other Duties:

• Employee Benefit Management & Reporting
• Ensures compliance with payroll tax laws and regulations
• Maintain pension plans, health & welfare programs
• Prepare required reporting and documentation for various state and federal governmental agencies
• Oversee and maintain daily IT requirements working with an IT vendor
• Responsible for negotiating and securing various insurance plans
• Maintain relationships with union representatives regarding union benefits, grievance procedures and contractual understanding
• Oversee relationship with banking officials and lender

Job Requirements

• Bachelor`s degree with accounting credentials
• Minimum five-years` experience in a supervisory accounting position
• Experience with Microsoft Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and accounting software
• Food and beverage or event planning experience preferred but not required

Pay: $95,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
