Kern Meat Company, Inc. directly services St. Louis metropolitan restaurants, hotels, institutions, clubs, grocery stores, and butcher shops. Kern Meat Company also supplies several family-owned and operated broad-line foodservice companies with custom-cut and value-added meat products. After operating in the same building for sixty-four years, Kern Meat Company relocated the company’s processing operations, warehouse, and offices to a renovated 22,000-square-foot facility at 140 Boulder Industrial Drive, Bridgeton, Missouri in September 2020. Our award-winning small business is looking for an experienced and safety-minded Production & Sanitation Employee to help support our production team. The ideal candidate for this position possesses an ability to make independent decisions as well as a strong work ethic. We're looking for an individual with reliable transportation who enjoys working independently on the job, producing high-quality meat products, and who is willing to learn all aspects of our production facility.

Qualifications:

• Motivated to learn through ongoing training and development
• The ability to read and interpret production papers
• The ability to read and report sanitation processes
• Must be physically capable of lifting boxes weighing between 10 lbs and 95 pounds and push/pull carts up to 300 pounds
• Comfortable working in a refrigerated environment
• This is an entry-level position and onsite training is provided.
• Effective communication skills

Benefits (All health premiums paid by Kern Meat Company, Inc.):

• Starting pay at $16.00 per hour; however, pay can be commensurate with experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $16.50 per hour
