Kern Meat Company, Inc. directly services St. Louis metropolitan restaurants, hotels, institutions, clubs, grocery stores, and butcher shops. Kern Meat Company also supplies several family-owned and operated broad-line foodservice companies with custom-cut and value-added meat products. After operating in the same building for sixty-four years, Kern Meat Company relocated the company’s processing operations, warehouse, and offices to a renovated 22,000 square-foot facility at 140 Boulder Industrial Drive, Bridgeton, Missouri in September 2020. Our award-winning small business is looking for an experienced and safety-minded Delivery Driver to help support our team. The ideal candidate for this position has a clean driving record, an ability to make independent decisions as well as a strong work ethic, and is able to make deliveries in the St. Louis Metropolitan area without compromising speed or safety. We're looking for an individual with reliable transportation who enjoys working independently on the job, taking meat products from our USDA-inspected and state-of-the-art processing facility to local restaurants, clubs, and institutions, and who can drive a straight truck for both short and long distances.

Qualifications:

• Must possess a Class E Missouri Driver's License or Class C Illinois Driver's License
• COVID-19 Vaccination - Since we are a federally-inspected establishment, Kern Meat Company is required to deploy measures to keep our facility free of infectious disease. Exemptions to the vaccine requirement will be considered for individuals with medical conditions that prevent them from being vaccinated and for individuals with sincerely held religious beliefs that prohibit them from being vaccinated, consistent with federal and state law.
• Must be physically capable of handling and delivering daily manifest consisting of cases weighing between 10 lbs and 95 pounds.

• Must be able to reach, pull, twist, bend, and use a two-wheel cart with a load weighing up to 350 pounds

• Effective communication skills and customer service focused

• Ability to pass DOT requirements and a DOT drug test and physical
• Must have a clean driving record (no drug or alcohol offenses in the last 5 years)

• Starting pay at $18.00 per hour (raise after 30-day probationary period)
