Essential Functions

• The PMAC will demonstrate knowledge of outpatient pharmacy processes and general understanding of prescription insurance. The MAC will play an integral part in developing and implementing oral oncolytic treatment plans and fulfilling duties as assigned. The MAC will proactively attempt to obtain free or discounted pharmaceuticals from manufacturers, patient assistance programs, or other sources. The MAC is knowledgeable of all Network patient assistance programs, insurance coverage determinants for medication coverage, available community and national resources, financial need requirements, and Epic. Working closely with financial counselors, social workers, and clinical staff to obtain the needed clinical and financial information to obtain maximal assistance is an integral function of the position.
