• Serving the residents of Warren, Butler, and Southern Montgomery counties for over 40 years.
• Kettering Health Miamisburg, formerly Sycamore Medical Center, is a full-service hospital located minutes west of the Dayton Mall on Miamisburg-Centerville Road off I-75 in Miamisburg, Ohio.
• The cornerstone services for KH Miamisburg have been Bariatric surgeries and Orthopedic care.
• Expanded services include emergency care, sleep center, mammography, breast MRI, cardiac catheterization lab, wound center and DEXA scanning.

JOB SUMMARY

Supports patients’ rights through maintaining the confidentiality and processing of protected healthinformation (PHI) in accordance with hospital policies and state/federal laws/regulations. Ensures timelymedical record completion in compliance with federal, state, and hospital standards, as well as hospitalpolicies/procedures. Promotes timeliness and quality of medical records completion through an electronicrecord processing and tracking system for prepping, scanning, indexing, quality assurance, and analysis forevery patient’s record, for every encounter, and every time. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environmentwhile simultaneously fostering an environment of support and teamwork for assuring a balanced workloadand optimal productivity. Also, must possess adaptability and flexibility for learning new concepts, skills anddealing with many different situations in a professional and confidential manner. It is also required that theindividual can embrace a continuous improvement environment where each member contributes to their ownlearning as well as partnering with their co-workers. Must have the ability to organize and prioritize work tomeet quality and productive standards, work effectively with rapidly changing priorities, and articulateproblems and offer potential solutions

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Required LicensesAHIMA Credentialed Preferred.

Minimum EducationCourses in medical record office procedures, medical terminology, as well as anatomy and physiology aredesired.

Minimum Work ExperienceOne to two years of experience in health information/medical records systems.

Required SkillsMedical terminology required. Must possess excellent customer service skills exhibiting composure, tact, andmaturity required in the interaction with physicians, coworkers, and other customers. Must possess excellentphone etiquette. Must possess an aptitude for clerical tasks with a desire for accuracy in detailed, organizedtasks. Must have problem-solving abilities. Ability to prioritize and balance workload. Basic computerknowledge required.
