Established in 2021 and headquartered in Austin, Texas, KIM is a rapidly growing, innovative team focused on supporting financial professionals and their clients. The team currently manages assets exceeding $1 billion. The Head of Marketing for Kestra Investment Management (KIM) will help manage all aspects of the unit’s marketing strategy and execution. The Head of Marketing will take functional guidance from the Chief Marketing Officer, Chris MacLaughlin, and business guidance from the Chief Investment Officer, Kara Murphy, to create marketing and communications strategies to increase awareness and interest in Kestra Investment Management’s services and solutions. The Head of Marketing will serve as a key member of the Kestra Investment Management leadership team and will work collaboratively to help architect, develop, and manage the firm’s market commentary and investment offerings. Key Responsibilities This role will liaise with other marketing professionals to deliver an integrated, end- to-end marketing plan including media, brand, product and solution marketing, content and thought leadership, digital marketing, events, public relations, and strategic communications.
Own the strategic thinking, development, ideation, and execution of best-in-class integrated marketing plan and strategies
Oversee the day-to-day activities of the team, including marketing content and collateral, demand generation, and design
Oversee the creation of a high volume of collateral, including product-related pieces and timely market commentary offered by KIM. Act as project management lead for the team, shepherding the production process for materials in a time-sensitive manner.
Work with Communications colleagues to develop messaging, positioning, and overall narrative to ensure consistent communications both internally and externally. Assist in driving industry and media exposure including, press releases, publication contributions, byline contributions, speaking engagements, etc.
Develop and manage marketing plans and corresponding budgets to meet revenue and brand health goals. Measure the performance of all marketing activities and lead generation campaigns, assess ROI against KPIs, and refine activities and strategies to achieve them.
Responsible for educating marketing team members on the priorities for Kestra Investment Management which will enable them to develop their specific plan. Hold regular meetings with Marketing team mates to review pipeline, resolve challenges, and present possible solutions, and provide ongoing training to ensure team consistently performs above standard
Act as a trusted advisor to the Chief Investment Officer Kestra Holdings, Kara Murphy, and her leadership team
Develop a thorough knowledge of Kestra Investment Management’s range of model portfolios and additional services
Ensure high quality of work and accuracy when creating and updating materials, including numerical data, charts, and text
Exhibit strong prioritization and organizational skills, including the ability to maintain several concurrent projects while providing realistic delivery dates and managing stakeholder expectations
Participate in special projects as needed

QUALIFICATIONS
7 years of experience
Financial services experience, preferably in the Investment Management arena
Experience leading all aspects of the marketing function including media, brand, product and solution marketing, content and thought leadership, campaigns, demand generation, digital marketing, events, public relations, and internal/external communications.
Experience implementing key financial metrics to drive a business to greater marketing excellence while balancing costs.
Persuasive, confident communicator who understands when and how to use influence and authority.
Entrepreneurial spirit with a willingness to challenge the status quo and try new approaches.
Hands-on, high-energy, “roll up your sleeves” mindset, with the ability to be a driver and change agent in an organization. Leads by example at both the strategic and tactical levels.

EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree from a four-year accredited college or university.
Master’s degree in marketing or business a plus.
