Kai USA, the manufacturer of Kershaw Knives and Zero Tolerance Knives in Tualatin, Oregon. We have have an immediate need for a Quality Control Inspection Lead.

Job Overview:

We are seeking a meticulous Quality Control Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that products meet the established quality standards through thorough inspections and evaluations.

Hours: Monday -Thursday 7am-4:30pm, and Friday 7am-11am

Responsibilities:

• Inspect and determine conformity of parts / materials received based on vendor and company specified requirements and dimensions for proper processing of incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Read and understand parts drawings, ability to use and accurately measure parts with inspection tools (Micrometers, height gages, indicators, calipers, comparator)
• Reads and uses diagrams and drawings, using judgment and discretion in determining workability of part.
• Performs set-up of inspection gauges and checking devices that operators use.
• Report discrepancies and document cause and corrective actions.
• Communicates with internal and external customers via verbal and written forms of communication.
• Assists Outside Processing with receiving responsibilities.
• Perform all other job duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in quality inspection, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Familiarity with QA/QC processes and procedures
• Proficiency in using measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, and coordinate measuring machines
• Ability to analyze data and identify trends to improve quality processes
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work
• Knowledge of quality management principles and practices
• Prefer intermediate skills in Microsoft office suite, including WORD and Excel.
• Experience in ERP systems preferred
• Excellent written/ verbal communication as well as presentation skills at all levels
• High energy, motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Ability to operate a forklift or willingness to become Forklift certified.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.50 - $29.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
