KERRY L. PLANTE, CPA, P.C. is Hiring a Tax Preparer Near Stoughton, MA

We are a small public accounting firm located in Stoughton MA. We are looking for a full-time onsite employee. The preferred candidate would have 1–3-year public accounting experience, however, we would consider newly graduated college students or an individual with more experience if the fit was right. The ideal candidate is someone who can communicate effectively with other staff and clients; who can think on their feet; who has the ability not just to prepare a return but can evaluate a return for additional issues and take the necessary steps to correct or resolve the issue. CPA or EA certification a plus.

Our clientele includes small businesses as well as high net worth individuals. Both groups look to our office as not only tax preparers but as business advisors. They rely on our office to ensure they are in compliance with tax laws as well as minimize their tax liability. We provide additional advisory services including retirement planning, estate planning, succession planning, etc.

Job description:

  • Preparation of tax returns including 1040, 1041, 1120, 1120S, 1065.
  • Experience preparing the following returns considered a plus: Gift tax returns (709), Estate returns (706), Non-Profit returns (990) Pension returns (5500)
  • Quarterly and annual tax planning for individuals
  • Bookkeeping and writeup using Sage, QuickBooks desktop and QuickBooks online
  • Financial statement preparation (compilations and reviews)
  • Preparation of quarterly and annual payroll returns including W2’s and 1099’s
  • Knowledge of Excel and Word.
  • Experience with Ultra Tax a plus

Salary: $60,000- $75,000

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year

Weekly day range:

  • Monday to Friday

License/Certification:

  • CPA or EA (Required)
