Job: Pool Manager

Description: Kenwood Golf & Country Club is seeking a dynamic Pool Manager. The Pool Manager will be responsible for ensuring the safety of the facility patrons and staff. The Pool Manager is also responsible for managerial, administrative, facility, aquatic communication, and leadership duties. The Pool Manager must have training to prevent and respond to emergencies on land and water. The Pool Manager must possess a thorough knowledge of lifeguard surveillance techniques, rescue techniques, and emergency procedures. The Pool Manager understands emergency procedures, has decision-making skills, and can communicate effectively with club members and the aquatic safety team. The Pool Manager must demonstrate maturity, responsibility, and be able to communicate and motivate staff. The Pool Manager will always provide excellent customer service.

Job Requirements:

• Montgomery County Pool Operator certification
• Current Lifeguard, CPR/AED, and First Aid Certification
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to include weekdays, weekends, weeknights, early mornings, holidays, and special events.
• Pass a pre-employment drug screening.

Job Duties:

• Assume the duties of the Director of Fitness & Aquatics in their absence.
• Assist in the planning and execution of innovative aquatic and fitness programming.
• Always ensure the safety of swimming pool patrons and staff.
• Manage and oversee a large & diverse staff of lifeguards and front desk personnel.
• Create weekly staff schedules.
• Plan and conduct in-service training.
• Manage or teach swim lessons.
• Assist in the daily maintenance of the aquatic facilities.
• Enforce all club rules and policies to members and staff.
• Respond effectively and appropriately to all emergencies with proper follow-up to higher management.
• Perform chemical tests, filter room checks, and adjust chemicals as needed.
• Set up/break down for events (swim meets, dive meets, and other club events).
• Serve as a Manager on Duty for the Fitness Center and assist in overseeing other departments when the department head is absent.

Compensation:

• This is an hourly position pay is between $20-$26/hour depending on experience level without company benefits.
