The Division of OSH Compliance is seeking an OSH Safety Compliance Officer I in the Safety Branch. This position will perform beginning level duties in the inspection of workplaces to detect safety hazards and to assure compliance with OSH laws and regulations.
Duties of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Observe experienced OSH Safety Compliance Officers during inspections and investigations of industrial safety operations in the workplace. Conduct safety inspections under close supervision near the end of formal training period.
• Learn how to compile appropriate information and documentation from workplace inspections and investigations to include in case file. Learn the required data to include in detailed reports of safety inspections.
• Participate in training seminars and programs and keeps current on enforcement policies and regulations; research occupational safety and health regulations and literature.
• Learn to operate technical testing equipment during inspections/investigations to gather evidence for case file. Learn to interpret the results of technical equipment.
• Attend Kentucky OSH administrative hearings and meetings.
