By joining our Division of Motor Carriers, One Stop Shop Section as an Administrative Section Supervisor in Franklin County, you’ll have the opportunity to provide direct supervision over all employees within a section; and perform other duties as assigned.
Holders of the Administrative Section Supervisor position will complete tasks such as:
  • Review staff daily work via email, as well as monitor calls.
  • Interpret and apply laws and regulations that pertain to the area.
  • Test new system enhancements to ensure compliance with IRP.
  • Approve and deny leave request.
Holders of this job title will obtain:
  • Experience in leadership and decision-making skills.
  • Experience in Interpreting and applying laws pertaining to IRP.
  • Experience in IPR Requirements such as Basing, Supplement, Fee, and Transmittals.
  • Experience in obtaining and understanding Federal and State requirements of the Trucking Industry.

Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION: Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Four years of professional administrative experience.
Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: A master's degree in public or business administration or a related field will substitute for one year of the required experience.
Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Additional administrative or research experience will substitute for the required education on a year-for- year basis.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): NONE
Working Conditions
Incumbents working in this job title primarily perform duties in an office setting.
Probationary Period
This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
