Duties
- Schedule appointments with candidates, new hires, and current employees for physicals, fit testing, and a variety of other functions as needed.
- Perform clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, preparing patients for examinations.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers
- Collect and prepare laboratory specimens for testing
- Conduct basic tests as directed
- Assist with patient education and provide information on medications, procedures, and self-care instructions
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for employees
- Schedule appointments, manage patient flow, and coordinate referrals
- Other clerical duties as required. Other general duties as directed.
Experience
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Certified Medical Assistant in a hospital or medical office setting
- Proficiency in medical terminology and understanding of medical procedures
- Knowledge of basic life support (BLS) protocols and ability to respond to emergency situations
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems and medical administrative support
- Familiarity with X-ray procedures and equipment is a plus
Skills:
- Strong customer service and organizational skills
-Strong knowledge of medical terminology
- Ability to provide excellent patient care with empathy and compassion
- Proficient in medication administration techniques and dosage calculations
- Skilled in performing specimen collection for laboratory tests
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, healthcare providers, and other staff members
- Knowledge of computer skills for office work and related programs
