Salary:

 $11.50 per hour

Basic Function:

Performs unskilled tasks requiring manual labor and operation of related equipment. Reports to designated supervisor.

Examples of Duties:

Duties/essential functions may include, but not be limited to, the following: 

Performs general labor outdoors (e.g., shovels snow, loads and unloads trucks, mows grass, cuts weeds, hauls trash, repairs fences, digs holes and ditches).
Performs general labor indoors (e.g., shovels coal, pulls ashes, moves furniture, sets up chairs, tables, stages and platforms;) performs custodial duties (e.g., sweeps, mops, and waxes floors, cleans windows and walls).
Operates a variety of equipment (e.g., floor buffer, mower, tractor).
May drive vehicle to pick up and deliver equipment or materials.
May train and direct student or temporary employees; may participate in training new employees.
Performs related duties as required.

Valid Ohio driver's license with safe driving record, if required by position.

Demonstrate physical dexterity and lift 100 pounds
Operate grounds maintenance and custodial equipment (e.g., mower, tractor, snow thrower, floor buffer, etc.)
Use hand and power tools
Read (e.g., work orders, labels), write (e.g., repair requests), and accurately follow oral and written instructions

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements:

Exposed to variable temperature and weather conditions, dirt, dust, chemicals, loud equipment noise, odors, and potentially dangerous equipment (e.g., mower, tractor); requires considerable physical exertion to include frequent lifting up to 100 pounds (boxes, furniture) and assuming awkward positions for extended periods of time; may work varied hours and shifts to include occasional early mornings and evenings; may require on- and off-campus travel.
