Crestwood Elementary School, located in the eastern end of the school district, has an average school enrollment of 480 students. In 2015 Crestwood earned a Washington Achievement Award, and was recognized as a School of Distinction in 2016. Collaborative decision-making, professional learning communities, team planning, and parental involvement characterize the management structure at Crestwood. We believe that the partnership between families is essential for our students to achieve their best. Our PTA, volunteers, and School Improvement Team play an important role in making Crestwood a great place to learn and grow. Crestwood is proud of its students’ involvement in the community and active environmental program, attaining to the highest level, level IV, “Sustaining green school”. We are known as the "Home of the State Insect" which is a result of our students and staff nominating the Green Darner Dragonfly for consideration to the state legislature, which became recognized as the official state insect in 1997.
Upon hire, new paraeducators will be required to complete state required training offered through our KSD Professional Development Team.
