Kent Place School seeks a Varsity Field Hockey Assistant Coach for the Fall 2024 season.

Hours: 3:45 - 6pm (games could finish later)

Season: Fall (August 19 - November 15)

FLSA Classification : Exempt

Reports To: Director of Athletics

Requirements:

• Prior coaching/experience at the collegiate level is preferred; experience at the high school level is required
• Understand the fundamentals of field hockey
• Have the ability to motivate players to reach their potential
• Must have exceptional leadership skills
• Must possess knowledge of rules, regulations, strategies, and techniques of the sport
• Maintains the proper supervision of student-athletes at practices, games, and on school-provided transportation
• Promotes good public relations through professional standards of conduct, presentation, and professional courtesy
• Models sports-like behavior and maintains appropriate conduct towards players, officials, and spectators
• Ability to work effectively with others
• Organizational and problem-solving skills
• Adhere to best practices of diversity and inclusion so that interactions with students, colleagues, and other constituencies highlight awareness, competence, and sensitivity
• Attend a mandatory preseason parent meeting and training session with the Athletic Department
• Participate in special activities, including senior day, parent night, banquets, awards nights, admission panels, open houses, coaching clinics, and pep assemblies
• Complete all coaching accreditation modules and KPS training.
