Kent Place School seeks a JV Field Hockey Assistant Coach for the 2024 fall season. Prior coaching/playing experience at the collegiate level is preferred; experience at the high school level is required.

Hours: 3:45 - 6 pm (games could finish later)

Season: Fall (August 19 - November 16) - season could end sooner

Responsibilities:

• Understand the fundamentals of field hockey.
• Have the ability to motivate players to reach their potential.
• Must have exceptional leadership skills.
• Must possess knowledge of rules, regulations, strategies, and techniques of the sport.
• Maintains, along with coaches, the proper supervision of student-athletes at practices, games, and on school-provided transportation.
• Promote good public relations through professional standards of conduct, presentation, and professional courtesy.
• Adhere to best practices of diversity and inclusion so that interactions with students, colleagues, and other constituencies highlight awareness, competence, and sensitivity.
• Attend a mandatory preseason parent meeting and training session with the Athletic Dept.
• Participate in special activities, including senior day, parent night, banquets, awards nights, admission panels, open houses, coaching clinics, and pep assemblies.
