Job Summary: Sets up and operates machines such as concept, EVO Jet router, Salvador chop saw, wide belt sander, straight line rip saw, gang rip saws, stock moulders, veneer press, planers and manual panel saws to cut, and machine cabinet components and accessories.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Safely operate assigned equipment to produce cabinet parts
• Proficiently use a tape measure to determine sizes for parts
• Supply the sufficient amount of parts in the buffers established by the schedule
• Inspect component parts prior to working on them again after they have been machined for correct specifications
• Comply with the company’s rules and guidelines for safety and health
• Maintain an acceptable attendance record
• Maintain a safe work place by housekeeping and keeping an organized work area
• Maintain no more than a 1% reject rate per workday

Qualifications:

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Must pass a minimum competency test
• Must possess reading skills to read parts lists and other material required for job completion
• Must be able to identify wood types and sizes of material
• Must have mathematical skills to take measurements and determine correct sizes for cabinet parts
• Must be mentally alert and capable of remembering faces, names, oral instructions, and details of varying types of materials

Essential Functions of the Job:

• Stands and walks up to a total of 10 hours per day on a concrete surface
• Performs twisting and rotation motion using head/neck, waist, knees, and arms
• Must be able to withstand environmental conditions including extreme temperatures and high levels of noise
• Must be able to work required daily and weekly work hours as determined by the schedule
• Must be alert and able to identify and respond to a hazard by either reporting it immediately or by taking corrective measures, if directed
• Must be capable of communicating with managers and co-workers
