Kent City Community Schools is seeking a varsity boys golf coach for the 2022 season. Over the years, Kent City's golf program has made steady improvements. Ultimately, we are looking for a coach determined to bring a championship level team to Kent City with success both within our conference schedule and the MHSAA post-season. Kent City uses Moss Ridge as its home course and also organizes and runs a tournament at the Falls.
QUALIFICATIONS:
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience coaching at the High School level.
Proven track record of working with student-athletes.
Knowledge of the game of golf including the technique needed to be successful.
Effective communication skills: student-atheltes, parents, community, administration, & course.
Plan and execute off-season skill sessions.
Over see both the Varsity and J.V. Golf teams.
Willingness to learn more about the game by attending clinics and speaking to other successful High School Coaches.
Organize and help run the Eagle Invite at the Falls.
Identify student-athletes who are interested in golf at the elementary and middle school levels.
Promote the program to the community.
