Scope of Position :

Dipper / Strippers are responsible for operating the manual and automatic dipping equipment to manufacture dipped parts.

This includes loading forms on machine, performing dipping operation and stripping parts from forms, checking and maintaining tank levels, performing dipping operations and stripping parts from forms, checking and maintaining tank levels, performing handling operations, preparing various solutions, maintaining and cleaning equipment, and performing quality assurance checks.

Post processing in ovens, washers and dryers are also performed.

Essential Functions :

• Fill latex and coagulant machines
• Drain, dismantle, clean reassemble and refill dip machines and clean forms
• Transfer dipping plates from dipping machine to leach tank to oven (TRING only)
• Strip parts from forms
• Communicate status of job to the next shift
• Mount forms on dipping plates
• Mount dipping plates on dipping machines

Range of Physical Activities :

• Standing / Walking Varied standing and walking all day. No Sitting
• Lifting Forms, dipping plates, solutions and machine parts
• Writing Notes, Tags and Procedures
• Reading Procedures, notes, identification tags and reports.
• Math Adding, subtracting, multiplying dividing and identifying numbers. Must be able to understand and use fractions and decimals.
• Climbing Ladders up to five feed
• Manual Dexterity Two hands required to mount dipping machines, flip machines and strip parts from forms
• Visual Activity Must be able to identify various sizes and color variations in tubing.

Comments :

Clean working conditions due to medical component manufacturing. Minimal contact with hazardous materials and machinery.

Due to nature of work, attention to safety is needed to prevent injury to self and others. This position may be required to perform other duties than those listed, as required by management.
