Middle School Music Teacher

Kent Denver School is looking for an experienced, energetic, and innovative Music Teacher for a full-time middle school position. The ideal candidate will exhibit a commitment to student-centered learning and the active classroom, a value of collaboration among teaching teams to build a meaningful and engaging curriculum, and a record of excellence in the classroom.

The full-time position includes teaching Music, advising, teaching an Elective and other duties to be determined.

Qualifications & Experience:

• An undergraduate degree in music or a related field, required

• Master's degree in music or a related field, preferred

• At least 3 years experience teaching and willingness to teach general music classes as necessary

• Ideal candidates will have a background in contemporary instrumental music, particularly horns, with the ability to teach beginning and intermediate students a variety of horn instruments and rhythm section instruments

• An ability to teach beginning to intermediate music theory, history, and general music

• Vocal ability and vocal teaching experience are a plus
