Positions:
Wyoming Intermediate, West Elementary, Parkview Elementary, Oriole Park Elementary, and Gladiola Elementary will each have one after school Intervention Coordinator on site
Hourly Rate: $50.00
Mandatory Meeting Time:
One hour Mandatory meeting for planning prior to the start of the after school program. Paid at $50/hour.
Schedule:
WIS: February 26 - March 27, 2024 (Monday-Thursday)
1.5 hours per day, 4 days per week
3:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.
West Elementary, Parkview Elementary, Oriole Park Elementary, and Gladiola Elementary: February 26 - March 27, 2024 (Monday-Thursday)
1.5 hours per day, 4 days per week
3:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
In this Role:Goal: Provide support to the after school intervention program by ensuring a safe and orderly learning environment.
Qualifications:
Current Elementary Teaching Certificate
Degree/Major and/or endorsement in English Language Arts and/or Math field preferred
Bilingual (Spanish) preferred but not required
Must be able to provide an academically challenging, robust and rigorous summer school curriculum/expectations for students
Must be proficient in Google Classroom as an online learning platform
Ability to collaborate with teaching teams to support the development of necessary content and curricular priorities
Experience with gathering, organizing, and interpreting assessment data
Demonstrated success with identifying students’ learning deficits and academic needs
Ability to develop and implement individualized student plans for intervention and remediation
Strong skills in developing systems to monitor and track students’ academic progress
Ability to evaluate the effectiveness of an intervention or lesson and make data-driven decisions for instruction using formative assessments
Absent an emergency or illness must be committed to work the entire program
Demonstrates the ability to provide differentiated instruction in math and literacy
Demonstrates the ability to function effectively as a member of the instructional team and work effectively with parents
Demonstrates the ability to adapt to differences and changes in characteristics of pupils, programs, leadership, staff and community
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Support the teaching and learning during the after school program.
2. Communicate and interact closely with teachers, students and parents.
3. Monitor and supervise students.
4. Work closely with teachers, the transportation & food service departments.
