Position Start Date 8 / / 4 Terms / Schedule Months Appointment Type Full Time Description PRIMARY FUNCTION : To carry out the instructions of the teacher to promote the Individual

Educational Programs of the students. Qualifications Must be willing and eligible to secure a Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction licensure

as a handicapped children’s aide.

Education :

A. Required Associates degree, college credits or Proof of passing the WorkKeys Test for Kenosha Unified School District.

B. Required Training in Blood Born Pathogens.

C. Preferred Experience working with children with special needs.

appointment. You will be required to pay the cost for the test. For more information on

D. Preferred Experience working with children with special needs.

Assist in the supervision and preparation of students in washrooms, moving from classroom to

other areas.

  • Model and maintain established discipline procedures and rules established by the teacher.
  • Work with small groups and individuals under the direction of the teacher.
  • Assist in preparing materials for parents.
  • Prepare instruction materials as directed by the teacher.
  • Maintain confidentiality of student information.
  • Participate in staff development sessions for assistants.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.
