Kenny Electric Services is Hiring a BAS Foreman Near Denver, CO

The BAS Foreman is responsible for:

  • Work with General Contractor, Controls Contractor, and other trades on frequent basis to ensure efficient installation
  • Communicate project progress, changes, and updates to customers in a professional manner
  • Create clear, accurate project As-Built markups in Bluebeam Construction Software
  • Study and evaluate project blueprints and specifications, tracking contract scope changes for review with Supervisor
  • Create and review material request forms and submit them to the project coordinator and Project Manager
  • Assist with project financials and labor hours during delivery
  • Proactively plan and organize jobsite to drive high productivity
  • Provide before and after-hours support to crew and management
  • Attend Project Turnovers and assist with project design and PT Trackers
  • Scheduling Required inspections with Kenny Project Engineering Team
  • Build clean, organized, and labeled BAS panels
  • Ensure project sites are clean and orderly throughout the entire build
  • Properly install field devices and relays
  • Keep Superintendent and Project Manager informed of all changes or impacts to the project
  • Provide field sketches to lower-level technicians so they can wire field devices in a concise manner
  • Oversee crew tasks and productivity while providing guidance, training, and leadership
  • Attend daily update meeting for project debriefing and planning with the Superintendent
  • Manage material and tools once received from the warehouse or stock room
  • Ensure crew completes weekly safety training in Paycom
  • Attend weekly foreman and customer contractor meetings
  • Oversee and complete weekly safety documents, Daily Logs, Daily PTPs and report to superintendent
  • Oversee and complete Project Delivery Book
  • Enter crew hours and approve timecards in Paycom for payroll processing
  • Other duties as assigned
  • 3-5 years of experience in Building Automation
  • Advance BAS installation and knowledge such as VFDs, Mechanical Rooms, Cooling Towers, Generators, Gas Systems, Med-gas, ect.
  • Ability to teach and explain BAS Installation Standards to BAS Technicians
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to run projects and lead a crew with minimal involvement from senior management
  • Advanced knowledge of BAS installation, relays, and electrified locking hardware
  • General understanding of network and troubleshooting BAS devices
  • In depth knowledge of Downstream communications and wiring
    • Must be able to diagnose and troubleshoot communication issues. (MS/TP, Cat-6, Mac Address ect.)
  • Strong customer focus: Ability to seek and meet the needs and wants of the customer without being prompted
  • Solid understanding of Control Drawings, Project Manuals, and Specifications
  • Understand how voltage drop affects wire size and be able to adjust wiring to accommodate
  • Advanced knowledge of construction and understanding of construction documents and drawings
  • In-depth knowledge of NEC of building codes and how to apply them
  • Basic understanding of computers, Accessing Kenny File System on-site, and MS Office Software especially Excel
  • Strong Team Player and creating a functioning culture for the team
  • Able to multi-task and adapt to changing demands
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Experience with high volume workload while maintaining a high degree of accuracy
  • Obtain OSHA-30, First Aid/CPR, Arch Flash, Lifts, Confined Space certifications
  • Forklift Certification if asked; based on project and Scope of Work.
