Kennedy Capital Management (KCM) is a St. Louis-based boutique investment firm that has focused on a goal of generating superior returns in the micro, small, and mid-cap domestic equity markets for our clients for over 40 years. We are currently seeking a temporary Desktop Support Analyst to assist our Technology Team. The position can work either part-time or full-time but must be in the office.

The Desktop Support Analyst is responsible for delivering day-to-day hardware and application support for all end users in the organization via remote access, desk-side support, phone calls, emails, instant messages, and walk-ups. This individual will gain superior knowledge on the applications and services utilized by the business and provide in-depth application and hardware support. Additionally, this individual provides crisis management for downed services and helps to resolve, manage, and escalate those downed services via other internal Technology Team members. The ideal candidate will be process- and project oriented, and efficient in completing assigned tasks individually as well as part of a team.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Troubleshoot and resolve system, application, and hardware issues.
• Work directly with end-users to solve problems.
• Assist in performing routine system maintenance.
• Install/configure desktop hardware and software.
• Assist in documenting processes and systems.
• Manage the tracking of assets.
• Perform monthly system checklists.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Associate's Degree from a university or technical college (preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent), OR equivalent IT experience.
• Experience working in a diverse technical environment.
• Experience in, and ability to demonstrate, implementing best-practice processes and procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, and interact effectively across the organization.
• Minimum 1 year IT experience required.
• Knowledge of the financial industry is a plus.

Location: This position will be 100% onsite and is based in our offices in St. Louis, MO. Only local candidates will be considered. The position is temporary for approximately five (5) months, and number of hours depends upon the candidate. If you're a college student looking for part-time work, we're happy to offer 20-25 hours per week during the school year, then increase the hours during the summer.
