nformationiGoose Rocks Beach is looking for a Shorebird Volunteer Coordinator (SVC). An ideal candidate would be a local person who can help motivate and create a larger community of shorebird lovers and monitors. SVC needs to be able to walk the 2-mile beach. SVC needs to enjoy talking with people and educating the public about all shorebirds, especially the Piping Plovers and Least Terns that nest on Goose Rocks. Some reporting, meetings, and training of monitors will also be a part of the job. Dates of employment will be approximately June 1 to September.

The town has approved about 200 hours at $15.00-$16.00/hour) with a beach parking pass provided.
