Job Summary:

This position is located at Kendrick Inc., in Edgewood, IA. We are a family-owned and operated company who has been in the lumber industry for over 40 years! We have experienced a substantial amount of growth thanks to our amazing and dedicated team and because of this, we are looking to add a Sales Support Specialist to our team! Your attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will contribute to the overall success of our sales department and the organization as a whole.

The Sales Support Specialist will assist the sales team with a variety of tasks related to selling lumber and other by-products. Responsible for monitoring sales and recording sales data.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Provides administrative and clerical support to Sales Manager.
• Provides exceptional customer service with customers in person and on the phone.
• Assist with digital marketing.
• Perform data entry for sales figures and other relevant information.
• Bird dog new customers; leading to cold calls.
• Performs order placements.
• Cross trains to fill in for other office staff as needed.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to interact with customers (internal and external), vendors, suppliers, leaders, and employees in a professional and appropriate manner including answering incoming phone calls.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Ability to adjust to interruptions and adapt to changing priorities.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Time management and organizational skills and collaborator.
• Mindfulness and ability to complete tasks with a high degree of accuracy.
• Must have ability to learn the hardwood lumber grading rules and attend training.
• Ability to travel to domestic tradeshows.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education and Experiences

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous sales experience preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
