Kendall Auto Group is Hiring a Security Analyst Near Meridian, ID

Kendall Auto Group is one of the largest family owned and operated dealers in the Pacific Northwest and premier employer in the Treasure Valley. We are looking for a Security Analyst to join our IT team. This position is based out of our Dealer Support Center in Meridian, Idaho.

The primary responsibility of the Security Analyst is to Provide guidance on all things cyber security related to Kendall auto group assets.

Job Tasks:

  • Monitor and analyze regulatory requirements and industry best practices to ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations and respond to active threats
  • Develop, implement, and maintain cybersecurity (at minimum) policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices
  • Conduct administrative control gap analysis against selected frameworks
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure policies and procedures are implemented effectively and efficiently
  • Provide guidance and training to employees to ensure they understand policies and procedures and can comply with regulatory requirements
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including regulators and auditors
  • Participate in cybersecurity and organizational audits and investigations as needed
  • Keep up to date with changes in laws and regulations and update cybersecurity and organizational policies and procedures as needed
  • Detect, report, assess, and respond to information security incidents.
  • Monitor and analyze data flow to identify and block malicious behavior and activities
  • Participate in investigations towards identifying root cause for security events, evaluating anomalous activity, and tuning for frequent false positives.
  • Participate in the design and execution of vulnerability assessments and security audits.
  • Maintain up-to-date detailed knowledge of the IT security industry including awareness of new or revised security solutions, improved security processes, and the development of new attacks and threat vectors.
  • Document best practices with the Cybersecurity and Operations staff using available collaboration tools and workspaces.
  • Anticipate new security threats and stay-up to date with evolving infrastructures.
  • Provide timely, detailed, and complete reports on security events and incidents to leadership.
  • Provide some after-business hours support in response to security alerts and investigations.
  • Developing and conducting an assessment and testing program to identify and remedy vulnerabilities that result from system additions, changes, or updates.
  • Reviewing, assessing, and recommending the next generation of tools and systems needed to effectively mitigate any tech threats.
  • Coordinate internal and external IT audits and conduct internal assessments on IT systems and processes.
  • Conduct Cyber Operations activities, including threat hunting, physical security ops, systems tuning.
  • Lead and report on security event investigations.

 Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent customer service skills, including understanding how to de-escalate, how to soothe and how to deliver the most efficient solution.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong familiarity with Windows desktop and server operating systems.
  • Strong familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 and Azure Active Directory support and implementation.
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts, familiarity with routers, firewalls, access points, IDS/IPS and VPN.
  • Familiarity with Email threat protection tools and concepts.
  • Familiarity with network protection and monitoring tools like SIEM, EPP and EDR.
  • Understanding of tools and processes used in security monitoring, risk management and incident response
  • Ability to understand vulnerabilities at a technical level and capable of recommending and effectively communicating mitigation strategy
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as NIST/CMMC, ISO 27001, HIPAA/Hitech are a big plus.
  • Strong organizational, operational, and inter-personal skills
  • Ability to communicate and write in English professionally
  • Reliable personal transportation for use in traveling to clients' offices is essential.
